The SeaTRAK 12 Channel and SeaMAX 16 Channel 24bit Digitizing Modules were developed to compliment the Hydroscience Technologies, Inc. (HTI) SeaMUX product line. In conjunction with the SeaMUX NTRS2 Recording System, these products provide an economical way to upgrade to proven, 24bit modern recording system technology from older systems. Each SeaTRAK 12 Channel Module is compatible with existing SYNTRAK ®* type 75 meter active cable sections and other in-water hardware such as lead-ins and stretch sections. Each SeaMAX 16 Channel Module is compatible with existing MSX ™ systems.
The SeaTRAK and SeaMAX Modules are powered via a 1.2A DC constant current loop, which allows small gauge wires to be used, reducing the size of the wire bundle. The module’s 12 analog inputs are sampled at ½, 1, 2, or 4ms via 24bit delta sigma converters. Digitized data (along with data from modules behind the unit) are sent to the recording system via a simple, yet robust, telemetry system comprised of twisted pairs. Power, control, diagnosis, and acquisition are performed via the NTRS2 Recording System on the recording vessel / platform.
The SeaTRAK and SeaMAX Digitizing Modules are enclosed in 3.5” (88.9mm) OD titanium tubes and end-caps with a crush depth of 1000m.
