The ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) is a convenient and cost effective tool used to access underwater locations not easily accessible by Divers or by other means. Inspection class ROVs are now being used by security and Customs organisations to perform routine harbour and security checks of high value sites and for the hull inspections of vessels in the fight against illegal drug trafficking. These ROVs are highly manoeuvrable and are able to carry sophisticated cameras and imaging sonars.
They are also available with articulator arms and special attachments that make them particularly versatile and useful for operations where a diver is not available or the use of a diver could be considered dangerous. Seismic Asia Pacific retail a range of ROV’s that will be specified after careful consideration of the clients operational requirements.
